today was malaysia's independance day.
i went to watch a play called Ismail.
it was a moving play, one which was perfected in every single way; the actors were brilliant, the set-design was unique but functional and the music was the perfect icing on the cake.

My two favourite scenes was;
>> the wedding scene with the Malaysian dancers in white--love the way they move their wrists <3

>> the closing scene; it was funeral scene of Ismail's death in the national mosque. It ended with rain falling from the back of the set as everyone opened their umbrellas.


i noticed the orchestra, only had chinese players.
it made me wonder why they werent any malay musicians... do we not do classical instruments?
